Game Plan of the Week: Week 6
Last week we left on a 12-day family road trip! I had every intention of hitting the gym, keeping up with my running, and eating healthy. Well, those good intentions didn’t go too far, especially in the eating healthy category!
First of all, we did get a lot of exercise! We spent the majority of our trip in beautiful Victoria, BC. The weather was cool and lent itself perfect for sightseeing. We walked and walked and walked…more than 7 miles each day. We also found a great gym, but only made it there one time!
So, now that we are home…it’s back to reality! And that means time to get back on track! Why is it soooo easy for me to get off course, and soooo hard for me to get back on track?
Well, I don’t think I can do any worse (as far as diet goes) as I did last week. I think it’s true what they say, “You are what you eat.” I felt like crap a few days due to my poor eating choices. This week is definitely going to be a reboot! I am recommitting myself to eating a healthy diet and drinking water like it’s my job! I’ll let you know how it goes!
Like I said earlier, I did a lot of walking on our trip. But, those miles didn’t keep me in shape! I know I’ve lost some ground. I was up to running 2-3 miles at a time, and I am afraid that tomorrow when I head out it is going to be rough! My plan this week is to meet my girlfriends at our local track EVERY day and work hard EVERY day!
