School has started…which means I’ve officially transformed into teachzilla! Spending 10+ hours a day working on making life in my classroom perfect. We’re now a few weeks in and it’s just starting to feel like a routine is coming together!
So, to sum it up this teacher-momma is having a hard time keeping up with it all! In an effort to stay sane I’ve been on an intentional hiatus from the blog.
I have really missed blogging and am excited to get back to it!
After a few looong years of growing out a pixie haircut I decided to cut my hair. I loved having long hair because it was easy to pull throw it up in a ponytail and go! BUT…it was hot and took me forever to really fix, so I didn’t! Bottom line, it was time for a change!
My favorite thing about this length is the time it takes me to dry and style! I’m just a tiny bit away from having a ponytail, sooooo I’ll probably let it grow a bit! Gotta love the pony!
I am so blessed to still have my grandma and grandpa around. I mentioned this summer that my grandma had been ill and needed to move to a nursing home for rehab. Well, that strong lady is home and doing pretty good. The power of prayer and perseverance is simply amazing! Having her back home with my grandpa is my favorite!
We just celebrated my grandpa’s 94th birthday! I think the best gift was having his beautiful bride by his side. What a special couple they are.
Soccer season, is my favorite season!
Ethan’s team just finished pre-season games and will begin conference play this weekend.
Here’s Ethan working hard to win the ball!
‘Atta boy! #20ismyboy
Here he is taking a shot on goal! He worked really hard to earn this attacker position.
I love the end of the game when the teams run out and wave to their fans!
What a sweet tradition.
We have the best soccer family, and our boys are so fun to watch!
Montana has had a horrible wildfire season. Thankfully, this week we finally had a break in the weather. MT literally had all four seasons just this week! 90 degree temps, rain and even snow in some areas. I’m so thankful for the cooler temps and the relief they will provide our firefighters.
Even through the fires are horrible, they sure produce beautiful sunrises and sunsets. I wish I had a better picture, this shot just doesn’t do this sunrise justice. These bright orange and red sunrises have been a favorite of mine while on my morning commute.
Garden clean-up time! Fall is closing in on us and it was time for my final harvest.
I decided to try my hand at marinara. Roma tomatoes, onions, garlic, zucchini and basil oh my!
This delicious mix slow roasted at 250 degrees for 7 hours!
Our entire home smelled like an Italian restaurant! So good!
After the roasted veggies cooled I blended them.
We like our marinara chunky, so I sauted more veggies!
Zucchini, onions, and peppers!
Then added it all together and let it simmer for a while.
Pure deliciousness! I actually impressed myself 🙂
After it cooled I bagged it for freezing. Seven bags ready to go!
Yay! This end of season marinara is my favorite! Time well spent!
What do you do with all of your year-end garden produce?
Mission zucchini is next for me!
I’m so glad I was able to get back to blogging and share my weekly favorites!
Thanks for stopping by!
I hope you had an amazing week! Enjoy your weekend!
